Hi All! Well the start of the year has been a bit of a non-starter as far as our youtube channel and travel blog has been.
If you’ve been following us, you will know that Sue has been seriously unwell since about late October last year, but I’m pleased to announce shes well on the mend and actually went back to work for the first time last week.
Sue’s FAITHFULLY promised she’s going to help me out with a couple of videos soon so we can get our much belated Vegas footage moving again, but I guess life is getting in the way as usual.
Those videos and articles ARE on their way, but for now we are having to concentrate our minds on leaving our ‘forever’ home and prepare ourselves for the imminent upheaval to our new more practical “It was always meant to be this way” home – IF the solicitors are good to us.
Exciting news! We are now only weeks away from our first holiday of 2024, a nice relaxing cruise around the Canaries, accompanied by six other family and friends, and four of our grandchildren – did I say RELAXING?
If there’s one thing we hate it’s not having something to look forward to so as a Valentine treat we booked our next cruise for 2025 and we are excited to be trying out P & O’s Arvia, and we will be taking along my brother Jeff and sister-in-law Lisa again, as they liked their cruise around Norway so much this last year.
I’ve got a thing about high buildings, and one on my bucket list was the Shard – we were suppose to be visiting last June, but when it was a choice between a few expensive days in London and a cheaper week around France and Spain on MSC Virtuosa? Well, the Shard had to wait for another day – well that day is finally at hand, we’ve just purchased one of those experience packages at a really good discounted price, and we will be treating ourselves sometime in the year to a visit up the Shard followed by a three course meal and cocktail (or two) at Pierre Marco Whites. This will also be featuring our first attempt on getting to London by train with Sue and her wheelchair, and I’ve got to say I’m a bit apprehensive about that. We don’t have a good track record (forgive the pun) when it comes to train platforms and accessibility.
So if that’s of interest to you, be sure to follow us here and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
We’ve also got a couple of other ‘different’ excursions planned for the warmer months, and I think by the time we’ve moved in to the new home and done all the essential upgrades, we will definitely be ready for a little travelling fun.
I’ve just managed to finish a much overdue follow up video for our British Airways fans, and there’s at least one more on its way having a look at our latest flights to and from Vegas in November last year.
And I have a whole list of overdue articles to write and post on our blog. Brace yourselves!
So once again, apologies for the short lull in activity, its a combination of us being extremely tied up with daily life PLUS I’ve packed most of my blogging and vlogging stuff by accident!
Stay tuned. Rob and Sue
